People who have stress can experience an impact on mental health. Though it affects overall health, it does disturb your menstrual periods. 

Strain and periods: Know the mess

Certain changes can be experienced by women and include,

Once the production of those restricted, it becomes easy for one to deal with the conditions and the cycle return. 

How to improve the conditions and help yourself have a normal cycle?

Here are the techniques that reduce tension and assist one to have a smoother period. 

Mindful meditation

This is a method that allows one to be away from the present moment. You can practice this technique anywhere and whether you’re sitting still or moving, it can be practiced anywhere. If your mind wanders or gets lost in thoughts, you can open your eyes and bring your attention to the present.

This is the best and helpful exercise that can be practiced every time and get rid of excessive tension. 

Breathing exercise

Women can simply try this calming breathing exercise when they’re sitting, standing, or lying. Breathe gently via your nose and let the breath flow into the stomach. One should count from one to five and repeat this for 3-5 minutes and get rid of the complications. 

Few other exercises that can be practiced to control stress includes

  • Taking breaks 
  • Connecting with others
  • Stretching
  • Limiting the consumption of liquor and tobacco
  • Limiting yourself to a limited area
  • Avoid smoking
  • Stick to a sleep schedule

Well, if stress is a problem, you need not worry much and you can have your menstrual cycle again. But if it occurs due to a medical condition, one needs to consider seeking relevant and right therapies to rule those problems out. 

If the alteration in periods occurs due to the medical conditions, one needs to get diagnosed to understand the problem and choose following the right therapies to improve the conditions. Tension is common and it is a part of life, but if it overwhelms you, consider seeking the right help at the right time to improve the circumstances.
