Know the changes that your body goes through around menopause
When ovaries are unable to produce any eggs and release them, the menstrual periods stop completely and this is something that every female is aware of. This is natural and happens to females after the age of 45-55. Before one enters this phase, it is common to experience shorter periods and irregularity in the same.

During this period the female hormones are likely to decline. It does have an impact on the epithelium and this affects the walls of the genitals and makes them shrink, sag, or thin. It happens due to the reduced production of collagen and elastin which is responsible for the structure of the vagina.

When there is a drop in the production of female hormones, it is common to experience a change in the fluids released by the vagina. Especially the pH level gets disturbed and hampers the structure of the genitals.

Usually, this condition occurs due to different types of infections that grow in the genitals. The problems such as vaginal discharge, inflammation of the vagina, and a burning sensation.
Though those are the basic signs and symptoms experienced by one, it becomes necessary that one notice the alterations that happen in the body during this period and consider the right therapies.
